Love Productions Limited is a company incorporated in England and Wales, with registered number 5221898. Its registered office is Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5QD.
These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern applications for programmes produced by Love Productions Limited (“Programme(s)”) via a postal application form (“Application Form”) or online via the Love Productions’ our ‘take part’ or ‘apply for’ websites (collectively “Application Website(s)”).
In these Terms and Conditions “we/us/our” refers to Love Productions Limited and its assignees, licensees and/or affiliates and, where appropriate, to any subcontractor engaged by Love to provide services to the Application Website and its content (“Subcontractor(s)”). “You/ your” refers to applicants for a Programme and users of the Application Website. Your access to the application process and/or use of the Application Form and/or Application Website is subject to the conditions set out below and your application to any Programme and/or use of the Application Website constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with the Applicant and Contributor Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”), and the Rules of Entry for the relevant Programme (“Rules of Entry”) and if applying for a Programme online via the Application Websites, the Take Part Cookies Policy and Accessibility Statement, all of which form part of these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions (or any part of them) at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be published on the Take Part platform and/or Application Website and those changes which are made prior to your application being deleted, shall be deemed accepted, unless you inform us otherwise in writing.
1.1 We are not responsible for any website or platform you link to from the Application Website.
1.2 Submitting an application, and/or registering and submitting personal details, whether by post and/or via the Application Website does not give you any legal rights or impose any obligation on us to cast you as a contributor to any of our Programmes or to produce or transmit such Programmes. Any decisions regarding successful applications will be made in our sole discretion.
1.3 Due to the large number of applications and registrations we receive, you accept that we will not acknowledge or respond to each and every submitted application.
1.4 Whilst we have taken reasonable care to ensure that the information placed by us on the Application Form and the Application Website is accurate, such material has been created on an “as is” basis and Love does not make any representations or warranties as to the accuracy or completeness of such material, nor do we warrant that the Application Website (or any of its contents) will be available uninterrupted and in fully operating condition. We do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure, malfunction of or any other problem with any computer network, system, server, provider, telephony system or otherwise which may result in any application or registration not being properly received or set up. We may, at any time, suspend, delete or terminate your application and/or restrict access to users of the Application Website if we deem (at our sole discretion) that your application has in any way been inappropriate or offensive or there has been any abuse or misuse of the application process or Application Website.
1.5 You acknowledge that the Application Website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or other reasons beyond the reasonable control of Love.
1.6 Neither Love nor any of its affiliates, officers, employees, agents or other representatives shall be liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect or punitive loss or damages arising out of your application or the use of, or inability to use, the Application Website.
The Application Website may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the contents of any linked website (including any goods or services offered or supplied through such a website) or any hyperlink contained in the linked website. The inclusion of any link does not imply any endorsement of the linked website by us. Any link within the Application Website, which takes you to a third-party website, is clicked on entirely at your own risk. We do not endorse or in any way adopt representations made by advertisers on any linked website.
3.1 You agree when applying to the Programme to provide true and accurate information about yourself on the Application Form, including without limitation all registration details on the Application Website (“Registration Information”).
3.2 At the point of registration on the Application Website you will be asked to supply your first name, last name, an email address and password. You do not have to complete your application in one sitting, but will be able to save it and access it at a later time or date by logging in with your email and password.
3.3 Unless, when completing your application, you have consented for us to retain your application, we will delete your application within 60 (sixty) days of first transmission of the final episode of the series of programmes for which you have applied.
3.4 You may only have one application (and if applying online, one registration) subsisting at any one time. Subject to Clause 3.5 below, please do not attempt to create more than one application (e.g. by making multiple applications using different mail or email addresses or making multiple registrations online or using variations of your first or last name). If we have reason to believe that you have applied/ registered, or attempted to apply/ register, more than once in an attempt to create more than one application, we have the right to suspend, terminate or delete your application.
3.5 You cannot personally amend or change your application once it has been submitted. However, we accept that you may make a mistake when providing information on your application. If any of your personal details (e.g. address, telephone number) as submitted are incorrect or change after your application has been submitted, please email us at support@take-part.co.uk. You can at any time request that your application be deleted by (a) heading to gbbo.take-part.co.uk/delete-my-application (b) sending an email (in the case of online applicants, from the email account with which you made your registration), with subject heading ‘Delete my Application’ to support@take-part.co.uk, or (c) by writing to us at Take Part Applications, Love Productions, 15 Macklin Street, London WC2B 5NG, giving your full name as it appears on your application. Please note that if your application is deleted prior to the deadline for applications (“Deadline”), you will not be considered as a potential participant in the Programme unless you make a further application prior to the Deadline, nor you will not be able to use the Application Website unless you register again. If any of your personal details (e.g. address, telephone number) change after your application has been submitted, please email us at support@take-part.co.uk.
3.6 When you register, you must provide your real name and any other such details as requested on the registration form. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate or inappropriate or we have reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate or inappropriate, we have the right to suspend, terminate or delete your application.
3.7 You agree not to (i) let anyone else access, create, amend or delete your application without your permission, and to notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your application; (ii) access, create, amend or delete someone else’s application without their permission.
4.1 The Application Form and Application Website and their contents are the property of Love Productions. All intellectual and other property rights, including trademarks, trade names, domain names and copyright, in the Application Form and Application Website, and any material or information contained in or downloaded from the Application Form and Application Website are owned by or licensed to Love or any of its affiliates except where stated as being limited or qualified and/or are attributed to other parties or persons. No rights of any kind are licensed or assigned or shall otherwise pass to any applicant or person accessing the Application Website. The foregoing does not apply to Material which is the subject of Clause 5 below. No part of the Application Form or Website may be reproduced, modified, copied, distributed, sold, published or transmitted in any form or by any means without the prior written approval of Love.
4.2 We make no warranty on the availability of the Application Website or its content. We and our Subcontractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure, malfunction of or any other problem with any computer network, system, server, provider, telephony system or otherwise which may result in any application or registration not being property received or set up. We may, at any time, restrict access to users if we deem (at our sole discretion) there to be inappropriate use of the Application Website.
4.3 Under no circumstances may you attempt to copy, auto-download, or mass-download, content from this Application Form or Application Website. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, store (including in any other website), distribute, transmit, broadcast, commercially exploit or modify in any way any of the Application Form or Application Website material or content, remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices from the Application Form or Application Website or materials originating from the Application Form or Application Website, frame or mirror any part of the Application Form or Website without our express prior written consent or permit or assist any third party to do the same. Using software that attempts to connect to the Application Website and automatically/ programmatically copy data is prohibited. You agree that you will not attempt to, or assist any other person to, remove, circumvent or otherwise alter or interfere with our security technology and/or do anything that may damage or impair the Application Website or our services, systems or equipment or those of third parties, including through the use of malicious code, bugs or viruses.
5.1 You will retain copyright in any material submitted by you on the Application Form or to the Application Website, in whatever form, including without limitation written material, recipes and photographs, (“Material”), but we shall be entitled to use the Material in accordance with the Rights granted hereunder without obtaining further permission or making any payment to you. We may remove any Material if we are aware of or are alerted to or suspect a breach of copyright or any other proprietary right(s) without prejudice to any other rights or remedies we may have.
5.2 By submitting any Material, you hereby grant to us a royalty-free licence for the full period of copyright and thereafter insofar as possible, in perpetuity, to copy, adapt, edit and reproduce such Material at no charge and in any medium for all purposes connected with the selection of contributors to the Programme (including without limitation in order to compile, aggregate and disclose to third parties general demographic information about applications for the Programme), and otherwise to use the Material in accordance with the Privacy Policy and for such purposes you agree to waive irrevocably all moral rights of whatever nature in the Material. The rights granted by you under this heading are collectively hereinafter referred to as the “Rights”.
5.3 Upon submitting Material you warrant and undertake that the Material you provide:
(i) is genuine and accurate and original to you, is not falsely attributed to someone else, has not been copied or reproduced from any published source, tangible or electronic and does not infringe the copyright or any other right of any third party; and
(ii) is not defamatory, blasphemous, obscene or in contempt of court, and does not breach any contract, duty of confidence or right of privacy or other applicable laws or regulations;
5.4 You further warrant and undertake that you are fully entitled to grant the Rights to us and for such purpose you have obtained permission from any persons featuring, appearing or holding any proprietary, moral or intellectual property right in the Material (or any of its constituent elements).
5.5 We are not obliged to use, publish or exploit the Material in any medium or on any website.
We accept no responsibility for your actions or omissions, and you agree by submitting an applications and/or accessing and using the Application Website to indemnify and hold harmless us, our employees, officers, agents and contractors from and against all actions, proceedings, suits, claims, demands and costs (on a full indemnity basis) brought or made against us by any person arising from or in consequence of such actions or omissions, and from and against any damage, loss, cost or expense suffered or incurred by us as a direct or indirect consequence thereof, including in relation to any Material you submit as part of your application. You agree that we may notify and/or co-operate with any authorities and law enforcement agencies in relation to any of your activities in connection with our Application Website, including providing any and all information held by us, including your personal or other details, to those authorities and law enforcement agencies.

We routinely monitor traffic on the Application Website and suspicious or malicious or excessive activity may be blocked and reported.
We may monitor and record any communications we receive from you. This may be done to improve the services which we provide or to ensure compliance with our practices and procedures.
11.1 If we decide not to exercise or enforce any right that we have against you at a particular time, then this does not prevent us from later deciding to exercise or enforce that right.
11.2 If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by a court or regulator, then, where required, that part shall be deleted and the remaining parts of the Terms and Conditions will continue to be enforceable.
11.3 These Terms and Conditions do not create or infer any rights that are enforceable by any person who is not party to them.
11.4 These terms and Conditions will be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
